When creating the launcher, update the command as: Go inside the unzipped folder, there you will find a firefox file (probably binary) which launches the program. Next, create a launcher for the 'firefox' you just unzip. Next open terminal and use the following command to add a new firefox user.Ĭreate a new user, take note of the user-name. (Probably this is what you are looking for.)ĭownload the older version of firefox from the archive: _ftp_site Use Virtual machine and use firefox therein.

Thanks to everyone, and to Nuance, for this peculiar, fascinating, frustrating, wonderful program. You can check the link for details: Using portable firefox and fixing flash Also it would be nice to know why trying to dictate into the comments box when using the markup function basically causes the whole thing to crash. I would ask the corporation to please post a response to mine and everyone else's questions, which would give us some detailed suggestions about memory usage and what parts of the program tend to use so many resources that working on a large Microsoft Word file becomes completely impractical. I would think Nuance would be pretty embarrassed by now with the plethora of negative comments. When I try to dictate into the comment box everything still freezes up and I've also noticed that drag-and-drop function in Microsoft Word stops working.
Nuance? At any rate this is better, but there are still several stumbles. I can do that with Cortana, and I wonder actually if Dragon has conflicts with the underlying voice recognition parts of Windows. Dragon seems to be more stable this way, and I don't much care about the voice commands. I discovered a comment in this forum that suggested turning off the voice commands for other programs, which I've done, and that seems to help.
I have to activate the Task Manager to turn Dragon off and I usually have to start word again as well. Word puts up a bulletin that says not responding, so I turn the microphone off, and then it won't turn back on again, nor will Dragon close. It seems to respond the worst when I'm trying to put a new comment into the area on the right-hand side of the word file reserved for that sort of thing. What has been happening is that all this works fine for maybe 10 minutes and then it all goes to ***. I then read through the document and make changes as I go along. I've learned to load Dragon first, and then Word, after Dragon is finished loading. What this means is it that I load a 100 page Word document and also load WordPad, for my comments file, and a small timekeeping utility.

I use Dragon NaturallySpeaking 12.5 on Windows 10 64-bit Home and Microsoft Word 2007 to do my edits using the Markup functions. If someone could please help me I would greatly appreciate it… Lost in Ohio.

The module “C:\Program Files (see x86)\Nuance\Naturally Speaking 13\Pr…\dgnexcel.dll” was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80070005. When I completed this I received the following additional error message: Regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\x86)\Nuance\NaturallySpeaking13\Program\dgnexcel.dll". Resulting in running the following command: When I tried to dictate in Excel, I get an error message: "Dictation is not possible or is corrupted for the current window due to the current Dragon add in for 'MS Excel' not being loaded." I then tried to apply a fix for this error message using Dragon help. And I have spent far too much money to be going through this problem.
This is so frustrating for me because Dragon is a necessity not a luxury. all I know is I have Dragon premium 13 and Excel 2013 and cannot get my Dragon to work within Excel.

I have seen some other software (DragonFly, Vocola, etc) which could perhaps help with this but don't want to get the complicated right now since Dragon works well for other things – just want to shut off these 2 automatic formatting features when I open specific applications.ĭON'T KNOW ENOUGH ABOUT COMPUTING TO KNOW HOW TO HANDLE MY PROBLEM EITHER OR HOW TO OPEN A THREAD ETC. Since Dragon only keeps these settings on for a very short period of time it makes it nearly impossible to use for this application. Does anyone know if it is possible, either within Dragon or by installing additional software, to either (ideally) have as a default for a given application that no spaces and no caps are added automatically, or (less ideally but also acceptable) that if you turn no space and no caps on that they don't keep reverting? I know that trying to program using Dragon is not ideal but at least dictating some word/commands at some times would save me some keystrokes, but only if there is no automatic formatting happening.
